WILL NOT BE WAR
View Of German Business Man CONDITIONS IN REICH “We shall not have a war,” says the head of a large German machinery exporting firm in a letter to a Wellington business man. "Do quietly laugh at the reporters it they are dreaming about it,” lie advises. "These gentlemen may do a war for themselves if they are interested in it. Besides, I have been in the Great War and am not desirous to get a second one—and not the other comerirdes, may they have struggled on the one or other side.” He continues: "Our political and economic situation is better than that of most countries. We have no unemployed over here; we have even too much work. The people are gaining and we have no strikes. "We are also very strong and can hardly be attacked. Germany is a great Power of first class. We have an enormous import demand and are able to buy much from New Zealand. “We have a different political system from the countries making propaganda against u.s in the newspapers, but we are aware that it is hinging upon the struggle of the Jews against our country and we do not think the propaganda to be tragical.”
