Pleading not guilty in the Magistrates Court, Wellington, yesterday, to a charge concerning an offence against a maje, Douglas James Goundry, seaman, aged al, formerly of the motor-ship Wairangi, pleaded not guilty and was committed by Mr. J. H. Luxford, SAI., to the Supreme Court for trial.
When Hans Martin Hintz, labourer, aged 28, a native of Germany, appeared in the Magistrates’ Court, Wellington, yesterday, charged with deserting from the motor-ship Mittelmeer at 'Wellington on January 21, 1930, he was remanded bv Mr. J. H. Luxford, SAL, to appear in Wellington again on March 22.
