TWO BURGLARIES IN ONE NIGHT
Wanganui Council Yard And Railway Station SMALL SUMS OF MONEY STOLEN Dominion Special Service. WANGANUI, March 15. There were two burglaries in Wanganui last night, one at Aramoho railway station and the oilier at the Wanganui City Council yard in Guyton Street, small sums of money being stolen in each instance. Last night’s burglaries bring the total of recent offences, to five; two business premises in the city area were entered last week and previously a Wanganui East resident had a fairly large sum in notes stolen, Last night entrance was made to the Aramoho ticket oliiee through a slide, which was shattered with some instrument, and £2 was removed from a tin and 14/3 I rom a drawer. This was part of sick benefit funds. A thorough search was made of all drawers and their contents were found littered about the oliiee. An attempt was also made to open the sale: the nameplale had been knocked off. The burglary al the Wanganui City Council yard took place at No. 2 oliiee. where 24/6. the property of an employee, was stolen. The window catch of the shed had been forced by using it jemmy.
