Hawke’s Bay Power Board’s
New Truck Dominion Special Service. HASTINGS, March 15. A specially-constructed truck capable of digging trenches and laying cable is at present undergoing trials at Redcliffe, and it is expected to prove a useful and economic unit in the Hawke’s Bay Electric Power Board’s plant. Tn easy going the machine has proved a great success, and once the locomotion problem has been thoroughly surmounted, the board will be able to use it for cross-country cable-lay-ing work.
