March 15 When a charge of blasting powder exploded unexpectedly in tile Barton Brothers’ blacksmith’s shop, Mr. E. llnrliman was extensively burnt on the back and arms. When the gun was last used only part of the charge exploded. The gun was placed in the fire and Mr. llurlnnan. who was working near with his back turned io Hie lire, caught the full force of the charge. After receiving medical attention he was able to go home.
