McKAY’S “GAIETIES”
“Let’s Go Hunting” Though the title of t-evuei usually means little in the indication of the entertainment, “Let’s Go Hunting,” the second revue of this Wellington season presented by Mr. Stanley McKays “Gaieties” company, in the New Opera House, reveals a colourful finale to the first half of the programme—a typical English hunting scene, with the scarletcoated huntsmen gathered round the village inn, preparatory to the chase. Hie audience was well satisfied with las night's show, and all agreed that, having seen George Hurd, the quick ami amusing juggler, there is sufficient reason ior his claim as the successor to I’aul Cinijuivalli. ~ . Scottv and Dolly, Australia s premier dancing duo; Stella Lamond, brilliant personality girl; Snowy Towers, mimic o, screen stars; Nellie Rolle, famous male impersonator; the San Memos Bros., matchless hand balancers; Assam, lekoe, Souchon, and Congo, crazy aerobatic clowns; Jerry Keogh, aerobatic dancer; Dolly Donogime, solo dancer, and Max Reddy, light comedian, were others who gave'variety items of outstanding merit. The third and farewell programme, •‘The Laughter Express,” will be presented for the first time at a gilt matinee on Saturday.
