JUSTICES OF THE PEACE MEET

About 30 Justices of the Peace are attending tlie annual conference of tlie New Zealand Justices’ Federation, which was opened by the Minister of Justice, Mr. Mason, at Caroline Bay this afternoon. A welcome was extended to the delegates by the Mayor of Timaru, Mr. W. G. Tweedy, Mr. H. Morgan, S.M., and Mr. J. M. Jenkin, patron and president respectively of the Smith ('.-in tori Hi ry .Justices’ Association, Mr. W. C. Weston (New Plymouth) is presiding. Tlie conference will conclude on Thursday.
