Though progress is being made with the building in King Street, Hastings, which will be the olliee of the new Social Security Department for that town, information is not yet available as to what portion of the business now being transacted at the post office is to lie transferred to (lie new quarters. Inquiries among post office officials shows them to have received no instructions regarding the transfer of pensions work to the new department, ami registration under the Social Security Act is being conducted at the post oflice, where the necessary forms are already available.
