Educational Institute Conference
The annual conference of the New Zealand Educational Institute is to be held in the Masonic Hall, Wellington, from May 8 to May 12. The chairman will be the president of the institute, Mr. T. Kane, M.A., headmaster of the Foxton District High School. Remits for discussion total 156, classified as follows Pupil welfare, educational reorganization, leave of absence, grading, salaries, appointments, superannuation, text-books, broadcasting, visual education, school grounds, teachers’ residences, school leaving age, teacher training, nursery schools, and domestic questions affecting the institute itself. During the week representatives will be welcomed at a dinner, when numerous educationists will be the guests of the president.
