Roosevelt’s Birthday PROCEEDS FOR INFANTILE PARALYSIS CAMPAIGN By Telegraph.—Press Assn. —Copyright. (Received January 31, 7.15 p.m.) Washington, January 31. President Roosevelt’s fifty-third birthday was to-day celebrated by 7000 balls throughout the country, the proceeds of which, as last year, ,will be devoted to the alleviation of sufferers from infantile paralysis. Tlie Byrd expedition also participated in the festivities, holding a dance exhibition and musical programme, special rations being served. Little America also tuned-in to the nationwide birthday ball broadcast at which President Roosevelt spoke. briefly thanking patrons for their aid in the campaign against infantile paralysis.
