Receipts Higher This Year FURTHER PRIZE-WINNERS Dominion Special Service. Levin, January 31. An improvement of £94/3/11 in the receipts of this year’s show, compared with .that o£ last year, is shown in the returns to hand to-day. The various sources of revenue with the second day’s amount in parentheses are as follow: —Gate takings, £94/18/- (£7B/19/-) : stalls, £9O/0/2 (£67/1/7) ; lunches. £2l/3/- (£l4/6/6) ; guessing competitions, £lB/15/6; side shows, £B/19/3; post entries, £4/12/6; Highland dancing entry fees,. £B/16/S ; hot water, £2/16/-; catalogues, £4/16/10; total, £254/17/11. In 1934 the gate takings were £57/11/-. Additional judging results are as follow :— DANCING. Sword dance. 16 years and under: June Scott, 1; Grade McKay, 2; Isa McKenzie, 3. Sword dance (open) : Gweyn McNaugh’ton.'l; Joan Scott, 2; June Scott, 3. Irish jig (open): Gweyn McNaughton, 1; Hazel Martin. 2; Jean Scott, 3. POINTS PRIZE'S. JERSEYS. Cup for two-year-old heifers in milk. Originally donated by the Horowhenua Jersey Cattle Breeders’ Association, valued at £7/7/-, was won outright by R. L. Horn, who was successful in 1931. 1932, 1933, but last year handed the trophy back for competition. The 1935 winners were Alan Horn and Sons. • ' AYRSHIRE'S. Cup donated by Messrs. Atkins Bros., Manakau, to he won three times: J. Hogg, Ohau, CHALLENGE CUP. Stratton Memorial Perpetual Challenge Cup, for the most points in the Romney Marsh: J. H. Mungavin. This is the ninth successive" occasion on which Mr. Mungavin has beeu successful. PIG SECTION. Kebbell Memorial Cup, for winner of most points in the pig section : Cheltenham Co-operative Dairy Co. This is this winner’s third success in the competition. Morgan Trophy, case of cutlery valued at 5 guineas, and donated by Mr. J. Morgan,. Junr., Weraroa. for most points in all purebred classes: H. E. Fieldhouse. HOME COOKERY. The Evans Trophy has been won outright. by Miss G. M. Kilsby, who was successful last year also. . Womens’ Institute points prize was won by the Ihakara Institute.
