ROYAL COURTS

Two in March This Year The King and Queen, for the first time in the present reign, will hold two Courts in March this year. This is because the Silver Jubilee celebrations will prevent the first two Courts from being held, as usual, in May. Two further Courts will be held in June. It is understood that, so far, definite dates have not been fixed by the King, but the two Courts in March will probably take place in the second half of the month, on successive evenings. The decision, which will cause unusually early activity among the dressmakers of Mayfair, has been taken because of the great number of engagements which have to be fitted in to the King’s diary during jubilee month.
