Fordell Garden Party
Mr. J. Wyley’s beautiful garden at "Rlverly” was the scene of an enjoyable W.D.F.U. garden party recently, when visitors were present from a wide district All kinds of games and competitions, and business at the wellladen stalls, bellied to make a happy and successful afternoon. 1 ——- Welcome Home
On Wednesday afternoon, at. Hie Lyceum Club, Mrs. McKittrick entertained a number of friends in order that they might welcome Miss Netta McKittrick home from a twelve months’ residence in Sydney, and also meet three young Australians, the Misses Herne, Cummings and Diakoffi. Miss Herne is visiting the Dominion ; the Misses Cummings and Diakoff are exchange teachers from the New South Wales Educational Department. Afternoon tea was served, and during the afternoon a musical programme was much enjoyed. There were songs by Mrs. Lockhead, piano solos by Miss Eileen Clark, humorous recitations by the Misses Mary McKittrick and Marjory Mulford, and a monologue by the latter.
