DEPARTMENTAL PICNIC
♦ The annual picnic of the Agricultural Department was held at the Whakatiki golf course, Upper Hutt, on Tuesday. The customary cricket match, married men versus single men, resulted in a win for the former. Details are as follow:—Married meii. 114 (Menzies 28, Ironside 17, Campbell 16 not out, Goringe 15, Morrison 13). Single men, 99 (Aikins 30, Boughey 28, .Sutherland 17, Arnold 10).
