British Delegation to Make Tour SCHEME FOR FUTURE Plan For Developing and Accelerating Services By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. (Received January 29, 7.20 p.m.) London, January 28. The “Dally Telegraph’s” aviation correspondent says that a joint delegation from the Air Ministry and the I’ost Office leaves Croydon by air tomorrow for India, Sia;n, Singapore and Australia. It consists of Mr. Frank Bertram. Deputy Director of Civil Aviation, Mr. Thomas Guinness, who is Parliamentary Private Secretary to Sir Philip Sassoon, Under-Secretary for Air, Sir Frederick Williamson. Director of Postal Services, Sir Edward Campbell, Parliamentary Private Secretary to Sir Kingsley Wood, Postmas-ter-General. Their aim is the acceleration and development of Empire air services. Tlie delegates will discuss with local experts ground organisation, including provision for wireless services, night-flying beacons and landing guides, and co-ordination of the network of. Empire air services. The full scheme contemplated will take two years to prepare. In the meantime the types of aircraft to be employed will be produced. , CHANGES IN PROSPECT Thorough Reorganisation ALL MAILS BY AIR (Received January 29, 10.25 p.m.) Melbourne, January 29. It was learned to-day, says tlie “Sun,” that plans are being prepared for a thorough reorganisation of the England-Australia air mail service, involving the transfer of all mail contracts from shipping companies to overseas air mail contractors, and an enormous increase in the air mail fleet. It is also understood that the British delegates who are leaving England to-morrow by air mail planes will discuss the plans with the Commonwealth Government.
