Labour Party Candidate _i - The national executive of the Labour Party has endorsed Mr. J. Jones as the party’s candidate for the Waitorao electorate. | Mr. Jones resides at Waimiha, and is secretary of the .Central King Country Amalgamated ; Settlers’ . Associations and is Tangitu district representative on the Te Kuijti Chamber of Commerce. He holds secretarial offices in the following organisations :■ Tangitu District Settlers’ Association, Tangitu Hall Company Ltd.,. Tangitu District Dentaf.Clinic Committee, and the Waimiha Consolidated School Committee. For seven years Mr. Jones was chairman of the Tangitu School Committee, and for several years lie was secretary of the Tangitu District Athletic Sports Club. He was also .secretary of the local branch of the Farmers’ Union.
