Minor Cricket Association Protest By Telegraph—Press Association. Timaru, January 29. At a meeting of the management committee of the South Canterbury Cricket Association to-night the following resolution was carried: — “That in view of the need for fostering interest in cricket, not merely in the four centres but throughout the provinces, the South Canterbury Cricket Association regrets that teams participating in this year’s North Island-South Island cricket match hiive not been made thoroughly representative of cricket in the two islands by the inclusion of players from the minor associations.”
