MAN SERIOUSLY HURT

Car Skids and Crashes Into Power Pole Dominion Special Service. Levin, January 29. Mr. AVilliam Peart, an employee of the New Zealand Agency, who resides at Ferndale Street. Auckland, was seriously injured this morning when the car he was driving northward skidded at Suhan’s corner, about half a mile north of Levin, and struck a power pole. Air. Peart was taken to the Levin hospital and attended by Dr. Thompson. who found him to be suffering from head and abdominal injuries, and a fractured elbow. He was later cotiveved to Palmerston North Public Hospital. The cur is a complete wreck. The driver was avoiding a cow when the car went into a skid.
