MR. FORBES’S TOUR
Visit to Remote East Coast District By Telegraph—Press Association. Te Kaha, January 29. The Rjt. Hon. G. AV. Forbes, Native Minister, accompanied by Sir Apirana Ngata, to-day paid the first visit made by any Prime Minister to coast districts east of Opotiki, motoring along the new coastal road to Cape Runaway for 79 miles, inspecting Native settlement schemes on the way, and receiving ceremonial welcomes at four Maori villages. * Mr. Forbes.is spending the night at Te Kaha, and to-morrow will traverse part of the IJrewera country, reaching Rotorua in the evening, and Wellington on Thursday.
