ROYAL RAILWAY CAR
Vice-Regal Use Intended In accordance with a decision made some time previously by the Railways Department, the Royal rail car, which served the Duke of Gloucester on his North Island tour, will now become the permanent Vice-Regal car. This arrangement corrects an unusual anomaly which has been apparent in the past, through which Governor-Gen'erals have travelled in special cars that have been somewhat inferior in accommodation and appearance to tlie Ministerial cars.
The other cars used in tlie Royal trians—those occupied by the staff, officials and others— will be converted back to their original use on the railways.
