A chorus of complaint at cattle, including a bull, wandering on the roads of Titahi Bay and entering private sections at night was raised at the annual meeting of the Titahi Bay Progressive Association on Saturday night. “You bring up trees for five or six years and they eome and clean the place out in a night—come Tn while the gate is open for the car to be taken out,” said Mr. E. Johnston, the president. The ranger should not look for them on the roads, he said. They are always in somebody’s garden, where they knew the good “tucker” was. When the residents were discussing what should be done Mr. IV. E. Windley, one of the members of the Makara County Connell present, pointed out that it was a breach of the law to turn on the road stock which one found on one’s property.
