EXTRADITED TO NEW ZEALAND
Motor Dealer Before Cburt
Arrested in Australia on the arrival of the Monowal and extradited to New Zealand, Jack Denton French, motor dealer, aged 32, appeared in the Wei lington Magistrate’s Court yesterday to face a charge of obtaining £235 by false pretences. He was granted a remand by Mr. W. F. Stilwell, S.M., until February 6. Detective-Sergeant T. Y. Hall asked for substantial bail, which was granted on accused's recognisance of £250 and a surety of £250. Suppression of accused’s name was refused.
