Lloyd George’s Campaign V WELCOME BY LEADERS (British Official Wireless.) Rugby, January 25. A meeting of Liberal Party leaders, presided over by Sir Herbert Samuel, gave a very cordial welcome yesterday to Mr. Lloyd George’s campaign, being convinced of its value as a stimulus, which it supplies. This meeting noted with special satisfaction that Mr. Lloyd George put in the forefront the need for a reduction in the barriers to international trade, which, in their view, were the main cause of continuing unemployment.
