KILBIRNIE KINEMA Another high-class double feature programme is offered at the Kineina to-night with "Student Tour,” starring Nelson Eddy, Jimmy Durant, Charlie Butterworth, Phil Regan, Maxie Doyle and Monte Blue. Also presented is ‘Little Miss Marker,” starring Adolphe Menjou, Dorothy Dell, Charles Bickford and Slurley Temple. There will be a matinee to-day at 2.15 p.m. with “Little Miss Marker,” Mickey Mouse, Popeye the Sailor, Laurel and Hardy, a cowboy serial, and a cartoon. DE LUXe/IOWER HUTT Hailed as a saga of the English countryside, “The Song of the Plough wi J be presented at the De Luxe Theatre, Lower Hutt, to-night and on Monday. Featured in the picture are Stewart Rome, Kosalind Fuller, Allan Jeayes and Hay Petrie. On Tuesday and Wednesday there will be a double-feature programme, “I Love That Man.” with Edmund Lowe and Nancy Carroll, and “From Hell to Heaven,” with Carole Lombard and David Manners. “Tlfose Were the Days,” starring the famous schoolmaster, MTU Hay, will be presented on Thursday and Friday. PALACE, PETONE Showing this afternoon and to-night at the Palace Theatre. Petone, is "Death Takes a Holiday.” In the cast are Frederic March, Evelyn Venable, Gail Patrick, Kent Taylor, and Guy Standing. GRAND, PETONE The-inimitable Gracie Fields heads the bill at the Grand Theatre, Petoue. in a merry musical entertainment, “Love, Life and Laughter.” There is a good supporting programme. KING GEORGE, LOWER HUTT Madeleine Carroll and Franchot Tone are the stars in “The World Moves On,” which is screening at the King George Theatre, Lower Hutt, to-day. The next change will be a spy drama, “Marie Gallante.” PRINCE EDWARD, WOBURN “I Was a Spy” is the attraction which is showing at the Prince Edward Theatre, Woburn, to-day. In the cast are Madeleine Carroll and Conrad Veidt. The next change will be “Just My Luck.” with Ralph Lynn aud Winifred Shotter. MAJESTIC, UPPER HUTT George Arliss in “Voltaire” provides entertaining fare at the Majestic Theatre. Upper Hutt, to-night. “Evergreen” will be shown on Wednesday and Thursday.
