Dominion Special Service Eketahuna, January 25. ' Competition for a few outstanding lines offered at the Eketahuna eale yesterday, was fairly keen, but otherwise the offerings met with only little demand. However, prices did not decline to any great extent, and a satisfactory Bale resulted. The New Zealand. Loan and Mercantile Agency, Co., Ltd., submitted a full yarding to a good attendance of buyers, making the following realisations: — Sheep:—Woolly ewe lambs, 18/-; woolly wether lambs, 17/8; b.f., lambs, 16/4; w.f. wether lambs, 15/- to 16/9; shorn wether lambs, 12/9; b.f., lambs, 12/10, 14/-, 14/9 ro 14/11; medium lambs, 8/6 to 12/-; culls, 6/- to 8/-. Feilding Pigs and Poultry Dominion Special Service. Feilding, January 25. Fending pig and poultry prices are:— Poultry: Hens, 9d. to 1/7; pullets, 2/1 to 4/6; cockerels, 1/- to 2/1; ducks, 94. to 1/8. Pigs: Weaners, 5/- to 12/-; slips, 15/- to 17/-; others, 12/- to 14/-; stores. 19/- to 25/-; porkers, 31/-. Mangaweka Sale At the Mangaweka sale the N.Z. Farmers’ Co.-op. Distributing Company, Limited, offered an entry of 4700 lambs. As this was the first sale of the season considerable interest was taken in the sale by the large attendance of farmers and graziers. Buyers were present from Main Trunk, Mataroa, Tai hope, Marton, Manawatu, and Wanganui districts. Some exceptionally fine pens of lambs were yarded and competition was keen throughout the sale. Practically every pen was disposed of under the hammer. Some of the principal sale& arc quoted. Best ■woolly bf. lambs 15/4 to 16/3: medium ditto 12/4; best short w.f.. w. lambs 16/-; good medium ditto 13/4 to 14/6; smaller sorts 8/5 to 11/6; best m.s. lambs 16/4: woolly wether lambs 14/-; good ewe Jambs to 17/1; medium ditto 13/- to 15/11 ; cull lambs 6/8 to S/6.
