Four Prosecutions at Auckland By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, January 25. Herbert, Michael and Boss Facoorey, three brothers in business as footwear manufacturers, were to-day each fined £5O and costs for making erroneous returns with intent to defraud the revenue by evading payment of part of the sales tax. “These people seem to have perpetrated what might be described as a rank fraud,” said the magistrate, Sir. Wyvern Wilson. Another wholesaler, E.' J. Paterson, was fined £25, with costs. He said lie had nothing to return because he was not selling anything. His business had since been closed. '
