HAWKE CRICKET CUP

Challenge From Southland Dominion Special Service. Palmerston North, January 25. The secretary of the Manawatu Cricket Association, Mr. R. Brace, has received advice from the New Zealand Cricket Council that the Southland association has been allotted the next challenge match against Manawatu for the Hawke Cup. The match will be played on the sports ground and will commence either on February 14 or February 15. The Marlborough and South Auckland Cricket Associations have entered challenges for the Hawke Cup, and Manawatu will be called upon to play either of these districts if it is successful in its match against Southland.
