Sir 11. Gengoult Smith. The New Zealanders have engaged in vigorous work with the English, Scottish, Finnish and inter-State teams. All the New Zealanders greatly impressed in their trials. The highlight of Saturday's programme will be the mile run, in which Craske (England), Barwick (Tasmania). Backhouse (Victoria). McLachlan (New Zealand) and Colman (Victoria), all champions, meet.
