Kershaw—Hunter r The wedding was solemnised recently at St. James’s Church, Lower Hutt, of Daphne Elizabeth, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. E. M. Hunter. Talta, Lower Hutt, and James Michael, son of Mr. F. Kershaw, Lower Hutt. The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a gown of white French satin cut on classical lines, caught at the waist with a silver girdle, and with a graceful train. The fitting sleeves were made with a cowl over the hand, and the ends of the cowl neck were tied in a loose knot over the left shoulder. The beautiful veil of Viennese lace was arranged with a coronet of orange blossom. The bouquet was of white and silver carnations with a floral trail. Mrs. Eva Draper was the matron-of-honour, the other attendants being the Misses Ruby Frew and Patricia Raven (cousin of the bride). Dulcie Staples was flower-girl. The bridesmaids wore frocks of white organdie over satin, with their wide picture hats, and carried floral muffs edged with silver. The flower-girl was in an ankle-length frock of white organdie over white satin, with two shaped frills at the bottom. Mr. F. T. Kershaw, brother of the bridegroom, was best man. Messrs. L. McKee and C. McMahon being the groomsmen. The church was decorated with white flowers and greenery. The Rev. 11. E. K. Fry was the officiating clergyman. About 200 guests were afterward entertained at the Eva Draper studio. The bride’s mother received the guests in an ensemble of black herringbone georgette, and black hat. Her posy of carnations was autumn-tinted. The bridegroom’s mother wore a saxe blue ensemble trimmed with lemon, and a blue hat of ribbed georgette, and carried a posy of pink and lemon carnations. When the bride and bridegroom left'for a motor tour of the north, the former wore a brown and apricot ensemble, with hat. bag, and shoes of browu - * * * Ellery—Gould The wedding was solemnised at St. Paul’s Methodist Church, Palmerston North, recently of Maisie Gertrude, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. P. Gould, to Herbert Clifford, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. T. Ellery. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. A. N. Scotter. The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a slim-fitting frock of parchment chantilly lace and georgette, with a yoke of pin-tucked georgette on the lace bodice. Frilled georgette from the knees fell gracefully to form a train. From a lace cap arranged on the head with side posies of orange blossoms a veil fell in soft folds. The bride carried a bouquet of gladioli and maidenhair fern. The bridesmaids were Miss AHeen Ellery (chief) and Miss Jean Manners, Hawera. Both wore ankle-length frocks of Mary blue sheer moss crepe cut on long classical lines, with pink accordion-pleated bows finishing at the necks and sashes tying at the backs. Thev wore blue picture hats with pink posies and shoes to tone, and carried bouquets of pink roses and maidenhair fern. Mr Jack Baxter, Feilding, was best man and Mr. T. Bird acted as groomsman.
