Union Shield Match Postponed
The executive of the Wellington Rifle Association has decided to postpone ti;e Union Shield teams’ match, which was to be fired on Saturday, until later in the season. Service shooting as conducted at the N..R.A. meeting will be tired instead, the matches being as follow :—Seven shols application, 10 rounds rapid, and 10 rounds snapshooting, all at 300 yards’ range, five shots at the tiles, and six shots at the moving target at 200 yards’ range. The annual teams’ match among the Wellington city and suburban rifle clubs having been postponed, the Karori Rifle Club will tire a match under the N.R.A. service conditions to-morrow. The shoot will count as one stage of the club’s Willoughby Cup competition.
