Frauds By Solicitors & NEW SOUTH WALES BILL (Received January 25, 12.40 a.m.) Sydney, January 24. The' State Government has introduced a Bill to protect clients against misappropriation by frauds by solicitors whereby every solicitor will be compelled to contribute to a Fidelity Fund until it reaches £lOO,OOO. To this victimised clients will have access by the usual legal processes unless a court of law should dispense with that procedure. The Chief Justice will be empowered to appoint a Solicitors* Statutory Committee, which will be entitled to strike a solicitor off the roll and the Law Institute also will be empowered to conduct a surprise audit of any solicitor's trust, accounts.
