'Perfect Day in Wellington Wellington experienced another perfect summer’s day yesterday with continuous sunshine. A northerly wind prevailed, and freshened somewhat during tlie afternoon.- Tlie temperature at 4 p.m. was 69.4 deg., and tlie maximum during the day 74.5 deg. Tlie weafber was fine and sunny in Palmerston North, with a light wind. Conditions were hot during the greater part of the day. Masterton again experienced practically continuous bright sunshine, while there was an accompanying northwesterly wind. The weather in Wanganui was tine and warm, with a strong westerly wind. Intense heat prevailed at. Waipukurau, accompanied by bright sunshine, with a mild, south-westerly breeze. The maximum temperature was 90deg. at 1..45 p.m. It was still at 80d.eg. at 7 p.m. There was a continuation of line weather and a light southerly wind at Auckland. The barometer was steady all day at 29.93 in.
Tlie weather at Christchurch was fine and sunny witli a moderate east-north-east breeze. The maximum temperature was 70.9 deg. Tlie barometer, after falling slowly, was last evening steady at 29.75iu. Pleasant summer weather prevailed at Dunedin, witli a light north-west, breeze. Conditions were sunny in the morning, but there was considerable cloud in (he afternoon. Tlie maximum tempera Lu re was 7Sdeg.
