COAL MINERS KILLED
O. Pennsylvania Explosion TEN DEAD; 59 INJURED (Received January 22, 8.40 pm.) Shenandoah (Pennsylvania), January 21. Ten anthracite coal miners were killed by an explosion 1000 feet under ground, apparently as the result of an accumulation of mine gases. Fifty-nine others of the 650 working in the shaft were overcome by fumes but rescued, one so seriously ill that he may die. and two men are reported to be missing.
