Poverty Bay Ram Fair > Dominion Special Service. Gisborne, January 22. The Poverty Bay stockbrokers annual ram fair was held for the first time iu the new rostrum at the A. and P. Society's grounds. . The appointments generally were considered equal to any in the Dominion. There was a brisk sale at good values during the morning, but easing was noticeable later. Flock Romneys: Highest price. 10 guineas, was secured by (i. V. Smith, Gisborne. W. H. Henson, Feilding, and' J. L. Camplin, Feilding. Prices averaged 54 guineas. Pahiatua Sale w ” Pahiatua, January 22. ' Competition throughout the Pahiatua stock sale yesterday was fairly keen, with prices on a par with those ruling at late sales. Although, at the commencement of the sale, bidding was not very lively, it gradually improved, and a good sale resulted. . ' The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co.. Ltd., offered a good, yarding, comprising mostly lambs, to a fair attendance, realising tbe following values:— Sheep: Best b.f. lambs, 15/9, lb/b to 17/4; best woolly w.f. lamljs, 14/1, 14/9, to 15/2; medium woolly w.f. lambs, 12/J, 13/3, to 13/7; small woolly wff lambs, 8/- to 10/6: shorn ewe lambs, 13/7 to 14/4; good 2-tooth and 4-tooth wethers, 20/4 to 20/10; small 2-tooth and 4-tooth wethers. 14/G to 16/1. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., submitted a "ood yarding of sheep to a moderate attendance, effecting a total clearance at the following range of prices:—Sheep: Good b.f. lambs, 15/7 to 17/2; b.f. lambs, 10,1 to 10/10: 2-tooth wethers, 18/6; wooby wether lambs, 12/8 to 14/10; shorn wether lambs. 12/2 to 13/9. Waipukurau Sale Waipukurau, January 22. -V fairly large yarding of sheep and a moderate one of cattle were offered.at the Waipukurau sate to-day. Values tor the former Showed little change, while prices for cattle were firm on recent rates. Only a few well-finished lines came forward. Twenty-seven four-tooth wethers, 23/7; five others, 21/6; fifty-three medium do., 19/1; twelve two-tooth ewes, 22/6; 114 Southdown lambs. 18/2; 193 store two-tooth wethers. 19/1; 350 do. ewes., 25/-• 311 rape Southdown lambs, 14/11; pen; lambs. 15/4; 240 four and five-year ewes 16/10; 143 good five-year ewes, 16/5; 101 six-tooth ewes. 19/2; 157 medium six and eight-tooth ewes, 16/11. Seven Hereford crossbred bullocks, £5 13/6: eleven P.A. do., £5/12/-; Hereford 18-mos. steers and heifers. £l/15/-; 19 Hereford yearling do., £l/10/-. CLUB BOWLING Games at Masterton Masterton. January 21.
