Good Bowling 1 in Match at Kilbirnie Some good cricket was seen in the women's Kiatch, Technical College Old Girls’ Combined v. The Rest, which was played at Kilbirnie Recreation Ground yesterday. In an exciting finish, when 21 runs were required, with a'bout as many minutes in which to get them, The Rest gained an outright win by six wickets. 'Scores were, for the most part, low Technical Old Girls opened, and scored 84 runs, P. Holmes 21. M. Parkhouse 20, and J. Alack 13, being the chief scorer*. The Rest replied with 124, of which 25 were extras, and it was in this innings that J. Pickering gave the outstanding display of the day, compiling 59 runs before being dismissed leg before wicket by Brogan. Her innings included nine boundaries. Mrs. Fuller also played a forceful innings for 25. Forty runs down at the end of the first innings. Technical College Old Girls made 61 in their second essay. N. Sheridan, 16. was the top scorer, and M. Parkhouse, 15. was best bat among the remainder of the team. With 22 runs wanted to win. The Rest began their second innings at about 6.10 p.m.. lost two wickets before a run was scored, and then 27 runs were made for the loss of two more wickets. The bowliftg was good. For Technical College Old Girls. A. Ell took six wickers for 26 runs, and three for 4 : and for Thu Rest, Symons took five wickets for 14 runs, and three for 11, ahd Stenberg three for IS.
