CROQUET TOURNEY
Fourth Day’s Play GOLD AND SILVER MALLETS Play in the Gold and Silver Mallet croquet tournament was continued in Wellington yesterday. The weather was ideal with bright sunshine and a light breeze making it very pleasant for croquet, and some very good breaks were made. In the game between Mrs. Aehison v. Mrs. Morgan, the hitter made a break of 4, one of 7. and another of 11. her opponent not scoring a point though having about six shots. Another very quick game was that of Mrs, Cleland v. Mrs. Richardson. The former player made breaks of 5 and 7 and was very soon ou rover and the peg. Mrs. Richardson bit in ami made a break of 5 and missed the shot after making penultimate, leaving ter opponent very close. The latter quickly finished the game.
