An alteration Iris been made in the order of the running of events on the first day of the Tnkapunu Jockey Club's meeting at Ellerslie on Saturday. Ashburton, January 22. Percy Henry Read, a married man, aged 38. a farmer residing at Eiffelton, had his foot caught in the drum of a header harvester and his leg was drawn into the machine. He was rushed to hospital, where the leg was amputated at the knee. Ills conditio. 1 , is satisfactory.
