; NATIONAL ELECTRIC Dividend, 3 Per Cent. Operations of the National Electric and Engineering Company, Limited, tor the vear resulted in a trading profit of £5363. The liquid position of the company being favourable, the directors recommend payment of a dividend of 3 per cent., ■ amounting to £oa4S, which -would then leave a surplus of £2014, and ■which,' after allowing for land tax paid, £33, would have the effect of reducing the debit balance of £4074 brought forward last year to £2093. In ascertaining the profits for the year, no credit t has been taken for the amount of orders in hand. Auckland Gas Dividend • The final dividend of 2} per cent, for the half-year ended December 31, recommended by the directors of the Auckland Gas Company, will be payable on February 5.
