KING’S JUBILEE

Congress Calls on Indians Not to Participate BRITISH RULE ATTACKED By Telegraph.—Press Assn. —Copyright. (Received January 21, 8.35 p.m.) Calcutta, January 21. The Indian National Congress meeting at Delhi, while expressing good wishes for the personal well-being of the King, calls on all Indians not to participate in the celebrations of the King's jubilee on the ground, that British rule in India is a “positive hindrance to the political, moral and material growth of the nation, which has now threatened the constitution and which, if enforced, promises to exploit the nation and drain her of what wealth she still possesses, bringing her under political subjection as perhaps never hitherto attempted.”
