YACHTING REGATTA

Annual Event at Evans Bay To-day The annual regatta conducted by the Wellington Provincial Yacht and Motor Boat Association is again this year to be held in Evans Bay. Fifteen races, for all classes from the diminutive seven-foot Taurangas to the A class keelers, are set down for decision, and with large fields engaged interesting and spectacular racing should be seen. The first event is timed to start at 10 a.m. The programme of this year’s regatta should be of particular value to yachtsmen, for it provides an up-to-date register of all yachts in Wellington.

The club-house of the Evans Bay Yacht and Motor Boat Club will be thrown open for use by all yachtsmen. A. cordial invitation has been extended to competitors and visitors to make the club-house their headquarters for the day.
