FLOWERS BY AIR
Gardener’s Entries For National Show Dominion Special Service. Pabnerstou North, January 21. A novel method of dispatching his entries was adopted by a well-known Palmerston North gardener to-day when lie forwarded blooms to compere at this week’s National Flower Show at Dunedin by aeroplane. Mr. S. Shailer left Palmerston North shortly before seven o'clock this morning in Mr. L. Mangham's Monocoupe, with the intention of refuelling at Blenheim. and then continuing on to Christchurch. He will catch the express train at that city and will have his blooms at Dunedin in ample time. Mr. Shailer took with him about 100 blooms, which were cut at an early hour this morning. As a result of the rapid transport they will arrive in Dunedin to-night in fresh condition.
