NEW ZEALAND ANNUALS
Striking Display in London As has been the case in past years, advantage was taken by the publicitv section of the High Commissioners Office, London, to make a striking display in the large window in the Strand of the New Zealand Illustrated Christmas annuals. It is recognised by the High Commissioner that these annuals afford n most excellent medium of uulflicity in so far as the illustrations ffliey contain depict New Zealand in a way which is quite unique. The blinds were pulled up on this display just prior to the marriage of the Duke and Duchess of Kent, ani in the centre of the window was an illuminated card on an easel giving the good wishes and congratulations of ail New Zealanders to the Royal couple After the wedding this card was taken out. The window, however, remained a source of great attraction to many thousands of people who gathered around two and three deep at a time to.see the illustrations of life in New Zealand. A large number of these annuals have so far been sold, and there is national interest in the fact that in almost every case the annuals will be shown in the homes of the people wh<> bought them to many English people
