For Ibe first time in many weeks the beaches at Day’s Bay and Eastbourne were bare on Saturday On account of rain. Yesterday, however, they were crowded again when the brilliant sunshine attracted hundreds of people out of doors. Parts of the Hutt River also had their full quota of bathers, although the number of motorists in the district was smaller than usual.
