LATE MAJOR DOMIGAN
Funeral at Taita Cemetery The funeral of the iate Major Domigan, 8/19(18, N.Z.E.F., took place nt Taita Cemetery on Monday, and was largely attended by friends and relatives. The service was conducted by the Rev. Sharpe, Lower Hutt. Amongst those present were Mr. F. B. Waters, Registrar of Pensions, Mr J. Spence, representing the R.S.A., Major Scoon, representing the Red Cross Hospital, Mr. Urquhart, and many others. The late Major Domigan was selected to go to Bisley with the New Zealand Rifle team in 1903. At an ear y age be was a keen volunteer, and carried on with that movement until the outbreak of the 'War. when he left New Zealand with the rank of captain in Charge of D. Company. sth Reinforcements. He was wounded at Gallipoli in August, 1915, and evacuated to England. Upon recovery he returned to Gallipoli, where he remained until the evacuation, having then attained the rank of major. Later he saw service in France, returned to New Zealand, and was attached lo headquarters for home service, being no longer lit for active service.
