Youthful Runner’s Death By Telegraph.—Press Association. Marton, January 17. At an inquest to-day concerning th.e death of Noel Hainworth, aged 13, who collapsed while running at Tuesday night’s sports at Marton, evidence was given by the mother that the boy had suffered from internal troubles from birth, but appeared to he growing stronger. She did not want him to compete at sports, and received a shock when she saw the ambulance men attending him. Artificial respiration was not successful, and life was extinct on the arrival of a doctor. Medical evidence was given by Dr. R. A. Church that the lad was affected by congenital weakness of the heart. The coroner returned a verdict accordingly. and complimented the club officials on the conduct of the meeting.
