Car Falls Over Cliff By Telegraph—Press Association. - Christchurch, January 17. Receiving severe head injuries when his car went over a cliff near the Sign of the Kiwi, Arthur Gardiner, aged about 21, of Purau, lay unconscious for four hours early this morning in what is known as Governor's Bay Bush. When he came to he struggled about three miles to a hotel at Governor’s Bay, and from there was taken to Lyttelton, where he now in a private home. Although Gardiner’s injuries were severe, it was not thought to-day that he was dangerously ill.
