Who Can Tell a Strad ?

Sir, —I also am the owner of a supposed “Strad.” When I submitted my violin to an expert in Auckland a few years back his report was that while the instrument was undoubtedly of great age aud of Continental make, he could not definitely state whether it was a genuine “Strad” or not, and' did not know of anyone in New Zealand qualified to do so. He quoted Messrs. Hill and Sops, London, as a final authority in this matter. I would be interested to know if there is such an. expert now available in this country.—l am, etc.. STRADIUARIUS. Wellington, January 4.6.
