FRIGID WEATHER
Many Deaths in India EPIDEMICS FEARED (Received January 16, 7.40 p.m.) Calcutta, January 16. India is feeling the effects of a spell of intense cold, which has caused hundreds of deaths from pneumonia in the north-west and central India. It is feared that they may lead to an outbreak of smallpox and other diseases.
