The ‘‘News-Chronicle” says that the popularity of trams has declined throughout Britain, passenger journeys decreasing by 60,000,000 to 2,7 < 4.000.000 in 1933, compared with 1932. Five trolley bus companies carried 227,083,825 passengers, an increase of 92.000.000. ROAD ACCIDENTS IN 1934 London, January 14. Road accidents in Britain in 1931 numbered 204,500, an increase’ of 13.015, compared with last year. The number of those killed was 7273, compared with 7202; and 231,60 S were injured, compared with 216,328.
