Another Step in the Railway Yards Rearrangement.— Workmen yesterday were putting in the wiring to the southern floodlights on the new tower near Davis Street in the Wellington railway yards. These lights were put into operation for the first time last night, and illuminated the new train marshalling yard which was simultaneously put into use. Left: A worm's-eye view of the new tower. Right: Looking south from the tower. The new shunting yard and siding lie on the left of the train seen in the centre, while the service track from Lambton Station are on its right.
